IMPORTANT STUDY TOPICS FOR IBPS COMMON INTERVIEW

• Current Chiefs/Heads of Important establishments :
  Chief of the Army Staff, Navy staff, Air force Staff, Governor and Dy. Governors of RBI. Important Cabinet Ministers (Finance, Home, External Affairs, Defense etc. ), Head of SEBI, Head of IBA, Head of NABARD etc. It is better to know as many as one can.



• Banking Knowledge :
  What does a Bank do, How does it work, How it makes profit. Basic Banking terms and their definitions (CRR, SLR, Repo rate etc.), differences between Cheques and Demand drafts, NEFT and RTGS etc.Buying an IBPS interview book of any good publication is highly recommended. Normally it is cheap (Around Rs100) and most of the basics are covered in it.



• Questions regarding one’s Graduation subject



• Why do you want to join a bank?



• It is impossible to prepare for everything in an interview because anything can be asked. I have read people being asked about how Tea is grown, How a train stops when the chain is pulled, even who is Hema Malini , Dharmendra , Jitendra, Shahrukh etc.



• If you speak good English with a good accent it is a Major Advantage because a lot of people don’t and it separates you from the others and gives you an added advantage.



• Since interview weightage is 20%, a lot depends on the written score. So if one has a high written score his/her chances are good for getting a seat. Plus I don’t think anyone is failed in the interview. Everyone gets at least the passing cot-off marks. So if the written score is good then there is nothing to worry about.



• At the end of the day what matters is impressing the interviewers with your personality by showing confidence and showing that you have good likable personality who will work well with others.
